Anandamide
Overview
Found in the human brain, Anandamide is a type of Neuropeptide and is an endogenous analogue of tetrahydrocannabinol, or THC. Anandamide also plays a role outside the Brain.
Biological Function of Anandamide

Anandamide binds to Anandamide Receptors within the Brain and Thymus (which causes effects similar to those of THC).
Immune System
Anandamide may inhibit proliferation in human breast cancer cells.
