Description

The Temporal Lobe is a component of the Cerebral Cortex of the Cerebral Hemispheres of the Cerebrum of the Brain.  Temporal Lobes are located immediately below the Central Sulcus of each Cerebral Cortex.  The Hippocampus is enclosed deeply within the Temporal Lobes.

 

Biological Function of the Temporal Lobe

Nervous System

 The Temporal Lobes are Primarily involved in the Sense of Hearing and the integration of Hearing with Speech.

    Pick's Disease results in damage to the Temporal Lobes.
