Cerebellar Cortex

Description

The Cerebellar Cortex is an area of Gray Matter than covers a subsurface of White Matter tracts - it is a primary component of the Cerebellum of the Brain.  The Gray Matter of the Cerebellar Cortex contains millions of Neurons.  (Neurons of the Cerebellum are specialized Neurons and are known as Purkinje Cells - they contain more extensive Dendrite Branches than do the Neurons of the Cerebrum).  The Neurons of the Cerebellum do not cause reactions that reach consciousness - they are not involved in conscious thought.
