Also known as: Adult Rickets; Late Rickets; Rachitis Tarda
Description
Osteomalacia is a Bone ailment that affects adults. It involves a softening of the Bones due to the loss of Minerals from Bones. Osteomalacia is the adult equivalent of Rickets but occurs following the cessation of Bone growth. Osteomalacia (unlike Rickets) does not affect the growth plates.
