Indoles
Dietary Indoles may prevent some forms of Cancer:
Diindolylmethane (DIM) may inhibit the development of some types of Cancer (by inhibiting the conversion of Estrone to 16-Hydroxyestrone (a carcinogenic metabolite of Estrone) and redirecting Estrone’s conversion to 2-Hydroxyestrone (a non-carcinogenic metabolite of Estrone)). [1]
Indole-3-Carbinol may prevent and inhibit the progression of Estrogen Hormones-induced Cancer by inhibiting the conversion of Estrone to its carcinogenic metabolite - 16-Hydroxyestrone, and redirecting Estrone conversion to 2-Hydroxyestrone (non-carcinogenic).
