Plasma/Serum Coenzyme Q10

 The standard laboratory reference range for plasma or serum Coenzyme Q10 are

            709 - 1,392 nmol per liter (0.6 - 1.2 mg (micrograms) per ml). Values below 580 nmol per liter (0.5 mg per ml) are considered below normal levels.

            0.48 - 3.04 mg (micrograms) per ml).

 Plasma or serum levels of Coenzyme Q10 of up to 1,160 nmol per liter (1 mg per ml) can be attained via dietary supplementation with Coenzyme Q10. Long-term or high-dose supplementation with Coenzyme Q10  can result in plasma or serum levels as high as 2,320 - 3,480 nmol per liter (2 - 3 mg per ml)

Salivary Coenzyme Q10

   The standard laboratory reference range values for salivary Coenzyme Q10 is 0.78 - 50 ng per ml

 Salivary Coenzyme Q10 levels are approximately 2% of plasma or serum values. The mean value in a healthy person is 17 ng per ml.
