Testosterone Undecanoate

Also known as:  Andriol;  Restandol

Testosterone Undecanoate is a type of Anabolic-Androgenic Steroid - an analog of Testosterone.  It is an ester of Testosterone and Undecanoic Acid.

Sexual System

 Testosterone Undecanoate is commonly prescribed in the treatment of Hypogonadism - Male (i.e. impaired production of Testosterone in men):  ^[1]

 Testosterone Undecanoate increases Sexual Desire in Male Hypogonadism patients.

 Testosterone Undecanoate improves Sexual Performance in Male Hypogonadism patients.

Hormones

 Testosterone Undecanoate increases the body’s Testosterone levels and is therefore used as a Testosterone-raising agent in Testosterone Replacement Therapy.

Orally

 Testosterone Undecanoate is one of the few Anabolic-Androgenic Steroids of the (less toxic) Testosterone Ester class that is bioavailable when administered orally.

Absorption

 Orally-administered Testosterone Undecanoate is absorbed via the Intestines.

 Significant increases in plasma Androgens levels occur with a peak at two to four hours.  These levels decline to baseline over eight to twelve hours.
