Testosterone Cypionate

Also known as:  Depo-Testosterone;  Virilon

Testosterone Cypionate is a type of Testosterone Ester Anabolic-Androgenic Steroid comprised of an ester of Testosterone and Cypionic Acid.

Cardiovascular System

 Testosterone Cypionate (administered via injection) may alleviate Angina (in men).  ^[1]

Nervous System

 Testosterone Cypionate (400 mg administered via intramuscular injection twice per week) may alleviate Depression (including ) in men (especially in men who have insufficient endogenous production of Testosterone).  ^[2]

Hair

 Testosterone Cypionate (applied topically to the areas of the Scalp affected by baldness) may retard further Hair Loss in persons afflicted with Male Pattern Baldness:  ^[3]

 Caution:  this treatment can lead to scalp fragility and tenderness.

 In order for this experimental usage of Testosterone Cypionate to be successful in the treatment of Male Pattern Baldness, Testosterone Cypionate must be applied via a carrier vehicle that is low in toxicity, high in lipid solubility, capable of permeating the Skin and which is mutually soluble in Water.

 Dimethyl Sulfoxide (DMSO) meets these requirements as an effective delivery mechanism for topical Testosterone Cypionate.  DMSO effectively transports Testosterone Cypionate through the Epidermis into the Dermis, allowing Testosterone Cypionate where it influences Hair Follicles.
