Immune System
Tolnaftate (applied topically) helps to suppress Tinea infections caused by Dermatophytes (Epidermophyton, Microsporum or Trichophyton):
Recurrences of Tinea following the cessation of Tolnaftate administration are common.
Tinea infections of the Nails, Palms of the Hands or Soles of the Feet are usually unresponsive to Tolnaftate alone.
