Eicosanoids
Description
Eicosanoids are Unsaturated Fatty Acids with 20 carbon atoms that are derived from other endogenous and dietary 18, 20 or 22 carbon atom Unsaturated Fatty Acids. Eicosanoids are short acting substances that are continuously produced at a local cellular level. They are not stored within Cells and “live” and “die” within seconds.
