Overview

Lignans are a group of phytochemicals that are similar to but are not dietary Fiber. Many of which are regarded as Phytoestrogens. There are two groups of Lignans - Plant Lignans found in plants that are high in dietary Fiber and Human Lignans, also known as mammalian Lignans, which are produced in the human colon by the fermentation of Plant Lignans by Beneficial Bacteria.
