Dextrin is an Oligosaccharide mainly found as an intermediate product within the body as partially digested Starch.

 Dextrin is formed within the body as an intermediate step in the hydrolysis (digestion) of Starch - Salivary Amylase enzyme converts Starch to Dextrin and then to Maltose and then Maltase enzyme converts Maltose to Glucose.
