Description

Lipoprotein-Associated Phospholipase A2 is a form of the Phospholipase A2 Enzyme.  It is produced primarily in Macrophages and resides primarily on Low Density Lipoproteins.

 Lp-PLA2 is responsible for generating Inflammation products from oxidized LDL Cholesterol – including Lysophosphatidylcholine and oxided Fatty Acids.
