Amino Acids

Overview

Amino Acids are a large group of organic molecules that contain both an acid group (usually -COOH) and an amino group (-NH2).  In most Amino Acids, both groups are attached to the same carbon atom.  All Amino Acids are white, crystalline and soluble in water.
