Also known as:  Kallidin;  Lys-Bradykinin

Description

Lysylbradykinin is a type of Kinin Neuropeptide (a Vasoactive Neuropeptide) - the chemical structure of Lysylbradykinin is the same of that of Bradykinin except for an additional unit of Lysine in the Lysylbradykinin molecule.

Lysylbradykinin Enhances the Function of these Substances

Neuropeptides:  Kinins

Some of the body’s Lysylbradykinin is converted to Bradykinin (by an Aminopeptidase enzyme which removes Lysine from the structure of Lysylbradykinin).

These Substances may Enhance the Function of Lysylbradykinin

Enzymes

Glandular Kininogenases catalyze the conversion of LMW Kininogen to Lysylbradykinin.

Kininogens

LMW Kininogen is the precursor for the endogenous production of Lysylbradykinin.
