Endomysium
Description
Endomysium is the fine Connective Tissue sheath that surrounds individual Muscle Fibers.
Biological Function of Endomysium
Musculoskeletal System
Endomysium conduct the contractile force generated by Actin and Myosin (Actomyosin) in Muscle Fibers to Bones by Tendons.
Endomysium restrict the growth of Muscles (by way of analogy, the Endomysium could be likened to microscopic “girdles” or “bags” that encase Muscles) - bodybuilding strategies attempt to stretch Endomysium in order to promote Muscle Growth.
