Description

Tiratricol is an analog/derivative of the Thyroid Hormone - Triiodothyronine (T3).  It is an active metabolite of Triiodothyronine.

 

Therapeutic Usage of Tiratricol

Metabolism

 Tiratricol may increase the body’s Basal Metabolism (BMR). 

 Tiratricol has been used for the treatment of Hypothyroidism. 

 Tiratricol may facilitate weight loss in persons afflicted with Obesity (due to its ability to mimic the ability of Triiodothyronine to increase the body’s Basal Metabolic Rate).  [1]
