Description

Spin Traps are compounds that combine with and neutralize Free Radicals in a more sophistacted fashion than Antioxidants.  The reaction between a Spin Trap and a Free Radical yeields a more persistent paramagnetic species named the Spin Adduct.  Spin Traps also suppress Gene transcriptional factors associated with a variety of Ailments.  Spin Traps also modulate Nuclear Factor-kappa B regulated Cytokines and inducible Nitric Oxide Synthase (iNOS).
