Description

Tick-Borne Encephalitis (Eastern subtype) is a form of Tick-Borne Encephalitis caused by a flavavirus (from the Flaviviridae family) that is closely related to the Virus that causes the Central European subtype of Tick-Borne Encephalitis.  It is transmitted by ticks (Ixodes pertulactus and Ixodes ricinus).
