Nucleic Compounds
Ampligen (a synthetic Polynucleotide) is under investigation as a treatment for AIDS. [1]
Apurinic Acid (a synthetic, chemically modified form of DNA) may inhibit the HIV Virus that causes AIDS. [2]
Isoprinosine may be a promising treatment for AIDS: [3]
One study has demonstrated that 28 days of Isoprinosine treatment resulted in clinical improvement in 29% of AIDS patients and this improvement persisted for six months after the last administration of Isoprinosine.
Prescribed Medications
Some types of Anabolic-Androgenic Steroids (A-ASs) are prescribed by physicians to AIDS patients (A-ASs may help to counteract the Cachexia (Muscle Wasting syndrome) that occurs during the progression of AIDS): [4]
Methenolone may prevent/counteract and reverse the Cachexia (Muscle Wasting Syndrome) that affects AIDS patients - it is regarded as the best A-AS for females afflicted with AIDS.
