Description

Recurring Abdominal Pain is a form of Intestinal Cramps that occurs in children.  It is defined as three or more episodes of Abdominal Pain (Intestinal Cramps) occurring over a period of at least three months.

 

Prevalence

 Approximately 10% of school-aged children experience Recurring Abdominal Pain.

 Recurring Abdominal Pain is most prevalent in children aged 8 - 10.
