Description

Congenital Sucrase Isomaltase Deficiency is a form of Carbohydrate Intolerance that occurs from the inability of the body to produce the enzyme, Sucrase.  CSID patients are therefore unable to digest Sucrose.

Enzymes

 Exogenous Sucrase (obtained via the Pharmaceutical Drug, Sucraid) alleviates the symptoms of CSID.  [1]

 CSID may cause Diarrhea (after the ingestion of Sucrose).

 CSID may cause Flatulence (after the ingestion of Sucrose).
