Doses of supplemental Vitamin B6 in excess of 500 mg per day may cause (sensory) Neuropathy - this effect occurs with excess Vitamin B6 due to excessive conversion of the stimulatory Neurotransmitter -Glutamic Acid - to the inhibitory Neurotransmitter - Gamma Aminobutyric Acid (GABA). [1]
