Overview
Pyrroloquinoline Quinone (PQQ) is a type of Quinone (an Orthoquinone) manufactured by Bacteria within the Intestine. It is similar to Coenzyme Q10 (CoQ10); both are found in your cells' mitochondria, where they support energy transfer. PQQ occurs naturally in trace amounts in many foods, soil, and even human breast milk. It is not synthesized by mammals in significant quantities, making dietary intake the main source for humans
