GABA Reuptake Inhibitors
Also known as: SGRIs
Description
GABA Reuptake Inhibitors are a class of Prescribed Medications.
Mechanism of Action
GABA Reuptake Inhibitors bind to recognition sites associated with the Gamma Aminobutyric Acid (GABA) uptake carrier. Via this action, GABA Reuptake Inhibitors block GABA uptake into presynaptic Neurons, permitting more GABA to be available for receptor binding on the surfaces of post-synaptic cells.
