Immune System
Foscarnet may prevent the exacerbation of the symptoms of Cytomegalovirus (CMV) infections of the Eyes in Acquired Immune Deficiency Syndrome (AIDS) patients.
Foscarnet is used for the treatment of Herpes Simplex Virus infections of the Skin and Mucous Membranes in people with impaired Immune System function whose Herpes Simplex Virus infections do not respond to other therapies.
