Overview

p53 Protein is a type of Protein produced in the Nucleus of Cells.

Biological Function of p53 Protein

Immune System

The p53 Protein stimulates apoptosis (cellular suicide) in cancer cells and thereby prevents and regresses many forms of Cancer.

These Substances may enhance the Production of the p53 Protein

Polyphenols

Curcumin may stimulate the production of p53 Protein via the p53 Tumor Suppressor Gene.  [1]

These Factors may enhance the Production of the p53 Protein

Cells

p53 Protein is produced (coded) by the p53 Tumor Suppressor Gene.

Metabolism

Diet Restriction may prevent mutations of the p53 Tumor Suppressor Gene that prevent p53 Protein production - Diet Restriction may cause ten-fold enhancement of p53 Protein-induced Apoptosis.
