Amino Acids
The normally beneficial, synthetic Amino Acid, Ethylene-Diamine-Tetra-Acetate (EDTA) which is commonly used in Chelation Therapy, in addition to binding to and removing (chelating) various potentially toxic Minerals may also chelate several beneficial Minerals including Zinc:
Rather than refrain from using EDTA (and thereby foregoing the health benefits of EDTA use) it is generally recommended that people using EDTA use supplemental Zinc in order to avoid potential EDTA-caused deficiencies of Zinc.
Methylxanthines
Caffeine may cause the depletion of Zinc.
Minerals
