Description

The Human Immunodeficiency Virus is a type of Retrovirus (from the subfamily Lentvirinae and family Retroviridae) that is approximately 100 nm in diameter.  It possesses a lipid envelope and a dense, cylindrical Nucleus that contains core Proteins and genomic Ribonucleic Acid (RNA).
