Description

Trichomonas are a genus of Flagellate Protozoa that move by means of a wavy membrane, bearing a single flagellum, projecting from the body surface.

 Methylsulfonylmethane (MSM) may inhibit Trichomonas.  [1]

 

Types of Trichomonas

 Trichomonas hominis lives in (infects) the Large Intestine but is not presently believed to cause any Diseases.

 Trichomonas tenax lives in (infects) the Mouth but is not presently believed to cause any Diseases.

 Trichomonas vaginalisinfects the Urethra and Vagina (and sometimes the male Urethra) and causes Leukorrhea and Vaginitis in women.
