Description
Ethosomes are a form of Liposomes. They are comprised of a Phospholipid, Water and Ethanol.
Ethosomes Compared with Liposomes
Regular Liposomes are claimed to be of only little value as carriers for transdermal delivery as they do not penetrate the Skin any further than the Stratum Corneum layer.
Drugs/nutrients encapsulated in Ethosomes are capable of permeating to deeper layers of the Skin than Liposomes.
