Thromboxane A3 is a type of Series 3 Thromboxane.

 

Function of Thromboxane A3

Cardiovascular System

 Thromboxane A3 (very weakly) encourages Blood Clotting (it is a weak vasoconstrictor).  This is not generally viewed as a negative action of Thromboxane A3 as Thromboxane A3 is usually produced at the expense of Thromboxane A2 (a very potent vasoconstrictor).

 

These Substances may Enhance the Function of Thromboxane A3

Lipids

 Eicosapentaenoic Acid (EPA) is a precursor for the production of Thromboxane A3.  [1]
