Description
Hemicelluloses are Polysaccharides built from more than one type of Simple Sugar combined with a Uronic Acid. Hemicelluloses vary greatly in composition, with the Simple Sugar constituents of Hemicelluloses varying according to the species of Plant in which they occur. Due to the millions of possible combinations of Simple Sugars and Uronic Acids in Hemicelluloses, they are difficult to further categorize.
